Hi I'm Shannon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom to three amazing children. If there is any free time to be had, I am usually reading. I love to read. My husband and children enjoy riding dirt bikes and quads, so we spend most of our family time out at the dirt bike track. Although I don't ride, I still enjoy that time together watching them. I am looking forward to going back to school in the near future where I hope to study deaf culture and take the American Sign Language courses.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon, but during my teenage years I chose a different path and left the church. I have lived all of my adult life not being active in the church or living its teachings. A few years ago, I found myself in the midst of some extremely difficult challenges that were ultimately more than I could handle on my own. They were some of the hardest times of my life. I felt completely alone and was humbled enough to turn to God for help. I started praying and reading the Book of Mormon every day and in doing so, I was able to find peace and comfort and the strength to carry on. I am now active in the Church and was able to watch my two oldest children be baptized this past year. Having lived without the gospel for so many years, I can testify that the only way to be truly happy is through following the Savior and keeping His commandments. Its is a privilege and an honor for me to be a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I teach the 6 year old class at Church on Sundays and love every minute of it. I have not only loved teaching their sweet spirits, but have also learned so much through studying the lessons.
