Hi I'm Rachel

Just an ordinary Mormon committed to love, healing, peace, and compassion for all.

About Me

I work as a case manager for people with a severe mental illness, and truly love my job as it is extremely rewarding. I also love to tap dance, paint, sit on the beach, and attend some Mormon activities for single members.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined this church when I was 5, and I was then baptized at the age of 8. I did stop attending church in my early 20's, but that period of time only strengthened my testimony when I started attending church again later. I know this is the true Church of Jesus Christ and where He wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply being the best person that I can be. This means setting a good example when others are gossiping at work, by helping others when a need arises, or by simply offering a smile to someone when they are feeling down. I try to see the good in everyone I meet, and teach compassion whenever I can.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

I like to think of the Mormon lifestyle as one of true happiness and compassion as opposed to a lifestyle of shallow pleasure and partying. I often see others trying to fix their pain with alcohol, drugs, and empty relationships, and the Mormon church is completely different. In the Mormon church we wear modest clothing, and do not drink alcohol or smoke. In college, I thought I could be happy by trying to be like my peers who were partying, but it only made me feel worse, and I felt far removed from God. I was not happy until I started going back to church with people who had the Spirit of God, in an atmosphere of love, charity, and compassion.  Show more Show less
