Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in California. I am a Soldier, a father of four, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy travel and foreign language--especially French-- and listening to music. I love to spend time with my wife and kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as the oldest son in a Mormon family, so the Gospel teachings are long familiar to me. I knew from an early age that the lessons I received were right. I could feel my Heavenly Father's love for me, and also knew that Jesus Christ loved me enough to sacrifice his life on my behalf. He is the Son of God and Our Redeemer. I also learned about the Prophet Joseph Smith. When my bishop interviewed me for baptism at eight years old, I remember he showed a picture of Joseph Smith kneeling before Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. When he asked me if i knew what the picture showed, I knew the story well. I remember feeling the Holy Ghost confirm to me that the story of Joseph's First Vision was true. As I continued to grow with the Church, I found the need to test out the many promises made to us by the Lord--that if we would seek him out, he would be there. I have always found that when I truly seek him, in scripture and in prayer, I can feel that He is there.

How I live my faith

I help others find employment as my current church calling. Most importantly, however, I try to encourage my family to embrace the Gospel and its teachings. I will always remember that "no other success can compensate for a failure in the home." I often feel that the best thing I can do is keep a grateful heart, and try to show it by doing the things that I believe the Lord wants me to do.
