Hi I'm Ally

I'm a singer, I'm a pro Ramen maker, I love to write, I love to wish on stars, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

When I was a wee little junior in high school, I wrote this phrase to myself in my journal. "the greatest glory comes from within your very self". Welcome to my "self". I am Ally Best, a unique and precious daughter of my Father in Heaven, and sister of my brother and Savior, Jesus Christ. I strive to live everyday that I may make them proud to call me theirs. I have been born of goodly parents who have created a home of love and peace and serenity that continues to enrich the life of their children and all those around them. They resemble the Father and Mother I imagine above and I am grateful for their example in my life of making their ever-binding, pure-covenant temple marriage a priority with each other and God. While juggling the busy life of a full-time college student at Southern Utah University, I find joy in things like ice-cream, sweats, reading, singin' some sweet tunes, riding my bike, and watching Boy Meets World-among other things. I LOVE to camp and hike with my family and friends. Lately, I've fallen in love with Zumba, a exercise work-out that involves crazy sweet dancing! I definitely recommend it. Above all, I'm a girl who loves to be happy-so I intend to surround myself daily with good, wholesome things in order to accomplish that desire. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I found my simplistic, yet deep and eternal testimony of Jesus Christ and in his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I had a realization of these facts: Happiness, true happiness, is real and exists all over the earth and in heaven. This vast universe is for us, to bring joy to our soul and heart. By the simplicity of his grace to cheer up our souls, he gives us sunshine...flowers every spring...individual laughs...the smell of rain...the opportunity to get in mud fights...it's all for us. The greatest gift of all that he has blessed us with is his sacred gospel and the power to have our own knowledge that it is real. With this, we can become the Gods and Goddesses he intended us to be. He knows we can do it. He's already seen us make it back. What happiness this brings him. May the vision of being encircled by the arms of our Beloved Heavenly Father and having him say, "Welcome back, my child. You served me well. How proud I am to call you mine" be enough to encourage us to live worthily so that we can make that vision come to pass. With all of this in mind, I believe we can be the happiest souls imaginable. I want all of these things in my life, both on this earth and in eternity. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I humbly will remember who I am living for and serve him with all my strength each and every day of my life and eternity. My Brother didn't just suffer for me, he died for me and I will faithfully do whatever is possible to show him I greatly appreciate with all the capacity of my soul what he did for his small sister. I have covenanted with my Lord to always remember him in all that I do and say. May I strive to live everyday with my Father and Savior in mind. Something I remember as I go about my day is to represent Christ and his teachings, "at all times, in all things, and in all places". This has sincerely kept me in-line with living the gospel of Jesus Christ as I go about my daily activities. I also will live the best I can so that one day I will be worthy of my eternal sweetheart that I can be with forever someday. This means I will do my best to learn domestic skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and other things. I look forward to the day when I can covenant with my dear husband in the house of the Lord and be sealed for all eternity by the powers of the priesthood. May the day come that we can work together to progress as children of God and proclaim the truthfulness of his restored gospel, thus being strengthened. With these things I seal up my testimony with my own witness that God does live. Without a shadow of doubt in my soul I faithfully serve Him with all my might, mind, and strength and all that is within me in this life and into the eternities.
