Hi I'm Audrey

I grew up in Southern California and I am a substitute teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read but I sometimes don't have time because I get busy. I have a husband and three children and three grandsons. Two of my children have served full time missions for our church. I recently went back to school to finish my degree in liberal studies and I work as a substitute teacher. I love to watch movies when I have time and my favorite genres are fantasy (Harry Potter), romance, and movies with an inspirational theme. All three of my children have been married in the temple and I'm grateful that we are an eternal family. I love spending time with my little grandsons and it has been fun watching them grow. They're the best part about getting old!

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the church when I was 21. I had been raised in the Catholic church my whole life and I always felt like something was missing from my life. When I was introduced to the missionaries I knew right away that what they were sharing was true and good. I started to read the Book of Mormon and I felt the confirmation of the Holy Ghost. I knew the church was true and it was not a struggle for me to learn that. However, telling my parents that I wanted to join the Church was difficult. My parents were very strong and faithful members of the Catholic church and it was hard for them to accept my decision. My husband was the one who introduced me to the church (he was my boyfriend at the time) and his parents were also instrumental in my conversion. I have been a member for 30 years and I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to accept the gospel. My life is very blessed and I have seen the Lord's hand in my life. I know the church is true and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know the Savior lives and that he died for me and that he loves me. Because of Him I can feel joy and peace in this life and have his spirit with me always. I say these things in His sacred name.

How I live my faith

My membership in the church helps me fulfill some of the promises I made when I was baptized. Because I promised to follow the Savior I have been given many opportunities to serve the members in my ward. In the past I have served with the youth as a teacher and leader and currently I serve as a Sunday school teacher for the youth in my ward. I help to strengthen their testimonies as they help me do the same. Each month I visit several sisters in their homes to share a gospel message and to help them in whatever way I can.
