Hi I'm Bryan

Film/media sound designer, father and husband, Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent college graduate, a husband, and a daddy of a happy little boy. When it comes to sound, you name it I'm there. I love everything audio, everything movies. I'm also a musician of 19 years, including piano, drums/percussion, guitar and vocal.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My parents and grandparents are all members, my grandfather being a convert. But I'm not a Mormon because of tradition or birth or circumstance, I'm a Mormon because I choose to be. I have found out by myself that the teachings of the church are good, and that they bring me closer to my Father in Heaven. I have received my own witness by the goodness of the Holy Spirit that these things are true.

How I live my faith

For several years, I used to use my musical talents to conduct our church choir. Every Sunday we would hold practices, and I would pick uplifting music that was appropriate to our choir members. And once a month we would sing to the entire congregation in hopes to lift and inspire and bring the Spirit into the meeting. But when I'm not up in front of 20 members teaching them how to sing, I simply just live my faith by living what I believe and by being a good example to those around me.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Bryan
We live our humble lives just like everyone else. Some people think we aren't allowed to dance. We are. Some people think we aren't allowed to party. We are. Certainly we try to avoid parties with alcohol and drugs and other damaging content, but as a recent college grad I can tell you that I've been to tons of different parties and they are all so much fun....and there's no alcohol! We don't need drugs to have a fun uplifting time. We love playing sports and going to sporting events and get pumped up when our team makes a touchdown. We love relaxing and watching movies and listening to music. We shop like everyone else, and we go to work like everyone else, we enjoy the outdoors and camping like everyone else. But when it comes to inside our homes, we try to pray with our family every morning and night. We try to read from the scriptures together every day, and we try to eat dinner together as a family and talk about what's going on. The home should be a place of family activities and learning, not a place where we all live in our separate corners of the house and sometimes we see each other and sometimes we don't. We believe that home can be a Heaven on earth, and we try to make it such. But all in all, we are just normal citizens who live normal lives like everyone else. Show more Show less
