Hi I'm Lindsey

I love life! I'm a wife and a mother to our beautiful son. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the wife to the most supportive and loving husband. We recently had our first son and are loving watching him learn and grow as he gets older. I am currently going to school in hopes of becoming a nurse and work now as a CNA at a local hospital. I enjoy scrapbooking, sewing, being outdoors, and most of all, spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where I was taught the principles of the gospel and the blessings that living it's teachings can bring into my life. I want to teach my kids those same simple truths. My life has been greatly blessed because of my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It brings me true happiness that can't be found anywhere else but in His church. I love my Heavenly Father and can't wait for the day that I can throw my arms around him again. I am so grateful for His church that was restored present day by His prophet, Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove where he prayed to know which church to join. He was led to gold plates that he translated by the power of God that are now known as the Book of Mormon. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. It is true. When I read from it's pages, I am better able to endure lifes challenges and trials. I am a better mother, wife, and friend. I can receive answers to my prayers when I study it's teachings. I love President Thomas S. Monson. He is the prophet of this church and receives guidance from Heavenly Father on how we should live our lives. When I follow his direction, I can not go astray. The Gospel brings a light into my life that I see so many people looking for these days in a world of much darkness. It gives me hope for the future and reason to live.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the church as a teacher to the women in my ward. Once a month, I prepare a small lesson about a gospel principle that uplifts each woman and encourages us all to live life a little better. I also plan activites for the 8 and 9 year old girls in my ward. Twice a month, we get together as a group and do activities that range from serving someone in the community to learning a new skill such as sewing or baking. Every month, I go with my companion, and visit with three sisters in my ward. We are able to share a small gospel message with them as well as offer any help or assitance they might need. Serving in the church is one small way that I am able to give back to Heavenly Father for all of the many blessings he has given me.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Lindsey
Mormon Temples are built to bring families together- past, present, and future. Within the temple walls, we are able to overcome our earthly limitations, and bind individuals together for eternity. It is there that covenants are made with our Heavenly Father to live a virtuous, chaste, and moral life. We are able to perform ordinances that bring salvation to our ancestors, who would otherwise not have the opportunity to progress. It is a place where we can find refuge from the storms of life. It offers the most pure form of peace that one can experience in a world of so much.turmoil and destruction. It is a place for us to go and receive guidance, direction, and love from our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
