Hi I'm Alexa

I like to laugh. I like to sing. I'm a newlywed. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'll be a junior in college in the Fall! I've been married for a month. I grew up in Japan for most of my life, and now my family lives in small town in the Midwest. I love singing, playing the piano, and quilting. I'm attending to a beautiful university on the East Coast.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings of Jesus Christ bring peace and happiness to my life. I know where to turn to and can have hope in the future.

How I live my faith

I help the ladies at church to feel needed and appreciated, through visiting them and encouraging them in times of need.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Alexa
We can increase our faith by the little things we do each day. It starts with a small desire. The important thing is to be trying your best and not compare your faith to others. Faith can be increased through prayer, studying the scriptures, attending church, helping others in need, and following all of God's commandments. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Alexa
I have never had a prayer go unanswered. Whenever I feel anxious or stressed and pray for help, warmth and peace fills my heart that I can't create on my own. In dire circumstances God has helped me in a way that I know can't just be a coincidence. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Alexa
I believe that families can live together forever in heaven. I have two adopted siblings from Japan and our family was sealed together forever in the temple and I know that we will all be together again after we die. I also just got married in temple and this is important to me because I want to be with my husband forever, not just until "death do us part." My grandfather passed away recently, and it was a trial of my faith, but now I know that I will see him again. Familes are forever. Show more Show less
