Hi I'm Brian

I'm a dad, a husband, an inquisitive mind. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Southern California and moved to Idaho while in high school. I lived in Mexico for two years after graduating. I enjoy sports of every variety, fishing, movies, music, politics, learning, eating out and spending time with my family. I have a B.A. in Political Science and am fascinated by Russia and Eastern Europe.

Why I am a Mormon

In short, I am a Mormon because of my wife and kids. I love them dearly and want nothing greater than to be with them forever. Through the teachings of the Church, scripture study and prayer, I have learned that I can live with my family forever. I have learned that God's plan is for man to have everlasting joy and the greatest sources of that joy are the Savior and the family.

How I live my faith

I am a husband and a father. The most important things I do are in the home. I support my wife, encourage her in her interests and allow myself to be made better by listening to her wise counsel. I spend time with my kids and encourage them to be kind to each other and others. I strive to be honest in my employment and respectful of others. I try to lend a hand where needed. I may not do many great things, but I try to be consistent in dong the small things right.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Absolutely. In Chapter 3 of the Book of Amos it says, "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." To believe there is no prophet today is to believe a-that God's works upon the earth have ceased, b-God has said all that needs to be said or c-God has no desire to speak to His children anymore. I don't believe any of those possibilities to be true. On the contrary, there has been no greater need for God's direction--and thus a prophet--than there is today. There is a prophet on the earth today and will be until the LORD returns once again.  Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No. The Church does, however, endorses God's law and therefore encourages members to support legislation and principles that seek to uphold God's law. It is also important to note that members of the Church come from many countries--this includes many from countries with diverse political establishments that may seem foreign to Americans. We love and embrace these people and the contributions they make to the defense of truth and righteousness in their communities and nations. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Christ, His Gospel and His prophets - ancient and modern. Everything we do centers on Christ. His Church, His Gospel, His authority, His way of guiding and communicating with His brothers and sisters--us. That is what the missionaries will talk about. Hear them out ... their message is wonderful.  Show more Show less
