Hi I'm Beth

I'm a Mormon. I have been a Mormon all my life.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of two teenage boys. We adopted our children when they were infants. My husband and I both work. Hhe is a tax accountant and I am an elementary school librarian. All my years growing up I wanted to be a mother, and I feel so grateful for that privilege. My hobbies and interests have changed over the years, but one thing is constant - I love to learn new things. I enjoy reading, I enjoy listening to music rock, pop, country, I have enjoyed scrapbooking, computers, baking, movies, going to the beach, and long walks with the dog and noticing all of God's beautiful creations. I really enjoy spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints a few years before I was born. So I was raised in the church. As I child, I relied on my parent's testimony, doing what they told me to do. But as I grew older, I had a desire to know for myself if what they were telling me was true. I attended seminary, which is an early morning religion class every day during high school, because I wanted to learn more, and learn for myself. As I studied and prayed, I became more firm in my convictions and knew what I was being taught was true. At age 22, I served a mission for the Church in Barcelona, Spain. I knew the happiness and blessings that came from living the gospel, and I wanted to share the love of the Savior with others. I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, that He atoned for my sins, and that Heavenly Father loves me no matter what.

How I live my faith

Now, I live my faith by striving to keep the commandments. As a parent, I have to set a good example for my kids! But that is not the reason I have faith. I have found that I am so much happier when I am trying to do what is right. I find great joy in serving others, as Christ served others. It is so fulfilling to me to help other people, and it brings me great joy. God blesses me tremendously when I attend my church meetings, read my scriptures, pray, and serve others.
