Hi I'm Norine

I am a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. I love spending time with my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband's job has always allowed me to be a homemaker and to be able to be "at the crossroads" for our 4 children. My family has been and always will be very important to me. I love to spend time with my family on vacations, get together during the holidays, and some of the outdoor activities we love to do together as a family are hiking, biking, snorkeling, 4-wheeling, and camping. We also love to play pool, play ping pong, sing karaoke songs and play games together. Some of the things I like to do in my spare time are to oil paint, read a good book, go to lunch with a friend or crochet an afghan. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and family, and to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Those two things, family and church are very important to me and give me such joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because my parents are members. However, there came a point in my life many years ago, where I gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for myself. I found that it has been a gradual process as I have been diligent in attending church, reading the scriptures, trying as well as I can to keep the commandments and saying my prayers. I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and know that it is the same church of Jesus Christ that was on the earth when Jesus Christ was on the earth. Because of the teachings the Gospel of Jesus Christ has to offer, I am a much better person and feel such peace and joy, and the Gospel has definitely blessed my life and my family. The Book of Mormon is true and you can't but help feel it is true when you sincerely read it and ask in faith. The Book of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ visiting the ancient people of the Americas. I know Jesus Christ lives and He loves me. I know that Christ's Atonement was for me and for everyone. The Atonement of Jesus Christ not only allows me to be forgiven of my sins, but has been a source of comfort to me when loved ones have passed away. I feel blessed to know that there is a Heavenly Father who lives, hears my prayers and loves me.

How I live my faith

I have served the sisters in our church. They have been a great strength to me because of their examples and love. I appreciate the sisterhood that we feel. I have had and still have the opportunity to serve the youth of our church in ages ranging from one and a half years old to eighteen. I have been so grateful for the strong youth that are in our church, not only have they been good examples to me, but to my children as well. My children have wonderful friends with great values and their friends have been a good influence to them. Each month I have the blessing and opportunity to visit a few sisters in our church, to share a message of the gospel to them and to be a friend to them and help attend to their needs and concerns if any. I also have the blessing of two sisters who visit me each month, who look after me and care about me. What a blessing the "Visiting Teaching" program is to me. As I serve others in church, it definitely helps me to be a better person.
