Hi I'm Julie

I'm a mom, wife, and runner. I love to create. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of two very active boys. Currently they are 16mo and 3 years old. I have my hands full, but love it! I am married to a great man. My husband is going to Dental school, which is pretty demanding, but we are going through this time with style. I love being with my boys, husband included, they fill my life with joy. I am happy and fullfilled. I love running and have done a couple half marathons, the Red Rock Relay, and the warrior dash this year. I convinced my husband to do the Tough Mudder with me and am so excited. Since we are living off student loans, I have had to learn to create the things we want for very cheap, which is something I throughly enjoy. At my happiest finds, I notice an old chair on the side of the road, pick it up and turn it into a prized piece of furniture...or at least something to sit in. My husband jokes that I am a dumpster-diver. I love to sew and craft. I also enjoy reading a good book. I just finished a photography course and loved it! I graduated in Massage Therapy and trade services frequently.

Why I am a Mormon

I've never had a vision or seen an angel, but I don't need to. There has been times in my life when I doubted there was a God, and felt very alone. My testimony of this gospel has come little by little, by applying its teachings. With each principle that I followed I could feel my life changing for the better. I feel more complete as I live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I chose to be Mormon because I know it's teachings to be true. I have read The Book of Mormon and prayed to know that it is a true book. I have felt the spirit testify to me. I know that I am important to my Savior and that He died for me and has felt my sorrows and sins. I know that through him I may return to our Father in Heaven. I am a Child of God. I am thankful for this knowledge that I am able to share with my children and guide them in the path that will bring them true happiness.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by showing others I am Christian in my actions. I try to serve those around me and love even the people that are difficult to love. I also get to serve as a Den leader in the scouting program which I love. I feel that I can help the boys understand their worth, that they are sons of God, and help them mature.
