Hi I'm Eric

I'm a college student. I'm a hockey fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 22 years old. I am studying political science at a local university. I play the guitar. I am also a huge ice hockey fan. I am fluent in Spanish. I am married. I love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel in my heart that the things that the Church teaches are of God. I feel my Heavenly Father's love for me when I study His word found in the Bible and The Book of Mormon. The more and more I obey the commandments that the church gives me, I feel the truth of them in my heart.

How I live my faith

In my ward, my wife and I tend and teach the 2 to 3 year old children. We love playing with them and getting to know them. It is so amazing to see how much even a small child can understand about Christ and His Gospel.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Eric
We believe the Bible contains the word of God. It was written by many ancient prophets that were under the inspiration of The Holy Ghost. We love reading the teachings of Our Savior Jesus Christ in the New Testament. Show more Show less

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Eric
Our prophet is chosen by God. We do not vote on who will be the next prophet, nor do our leaders vote or decide. Through revelation, our prophet is chosen. Since the prophet is chosen by God, we can have complete faith that what he tells us, is the Lord's will. Such as the Children of Israel could trust that Moses would lead them to the promise land, we trust that our modern day prophet will lead us back to Our Heavenly Father's presence. What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Eric
As Mormons we live like most everybody else. We all have our different hobbies and interests, such as sports, music, arts, etc. We work, go to school, have families, and try to be good citizens of our communities. As Mormons we focus our lives around our Savior Jesus Christ. We strive to live His Commandments as found in the scriptures and as given by his prophets. We strive to love and respect everyone, and treat them as Christ would. So to sum up our lifestyle, we try to live as Jesus would live if He were in our shoes. Show more Show less
