Hi I'm Whitney

I live in beautiful Northern California. I'm a wife and mother of 3, a pharmacy technician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love trying new things which results in me being a Jack of Some Trades, and a master of none. Sewing, skiing, singing, musical theater, cake decorating, interior design, art, entrepreneur, blogger....Impossible to pick just one. I seem to thrive on chaos, because just when life settles down, I take one something new. Like starting a new business, going back to school, participating in a local theater production, or volunteering in the community, church and my children's school. But what I absolutely hate is house cleaning.

Why I am a Mormon

Ultimately this is a simple answer. Because when I am all alone, in the stillness of quiet moments, when no one is around to influence me; deep in my heart of hearts I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. And once I figured that out, I could not deny it, or hide from it. Instead I know I must embrace it, live it, and defend it. It was not always so simple to answer. I had been taught the teachings of the Mormon church since I was very young. When I was 16, I was challenged by a very special loved one, on whether or not the church was true. Until then I had been living it half-heartedly. I thought that I knew it was true, but didn't always find it convenient. But at this moment in time, I had to search within myself whether or not I would follow it's teachings. And that's when I took one of those rare, quiet, still moments to search my soul. In the end I was left with an undeniable feeling that I already knew the truth and all that was left was to live it. Since that time, I have gained a strong testimony of the divinity of our Savior Jesus Christ. I strive earnestly to live up to my divine potential, but often fall short. I am thankful for the Atonement because repentence is a daily action in my life.

How I live my faith

I currently teach gospel lessons in the women's organization of our local church. I love teaching, but mostly enjoy learning from all the amazing women who I have grown to love very much. They are truly my teachers.
