Hi I'm Wendi

I'm a Mormon. Being a member of Jesus' Church has been a most wonderful blessing to my family and me.

About Me

I am married and a mom of 5 wonderful children. I work as a paraprofessional and a home healthcare worker. I love to camp, read, swim, do arts and crafts, and work on my family tree.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I visited many different Churches that my family or friends went to. I believed in God, but was afraid of Him. Most of the churches I attended preached about a "vengeful God". Then a very good friend of mine introduced me to the Missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints the Mormons. I started taking the discussions just to understand what she believed in. Everything that they told me made so much sense. And when they told me that I had a Father in Heaven that loved me and wanted me to return to Him, I got such a warm, peaceful feeling. They couldn't tell me enough, fast enough, about the Gospel, after that. Over the years my testimony of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father has grown and strengthened. The people of my Ward have become my "extended" family. Even though I have now been a member over 25 years, I continue to learn and grow in the Gospel. I have tried to raise my children to be Christians also. Last year I lost my middle son to a rare form of cancer. If it had not been for my faith in Jesus Christ, my family, and friends, it would have been a much more difficult time. Because of the Gospel truths that I know, I can be at peace with my loss. I know that I will see my son again. I know that families can be together forever. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves each of us and wants us to return to Him.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had many callings or "jobs" in the Church. I have helped teach the children, youth, and adults. At one time I was in charge of planning activities for our women's group. I have been a Cub Scout and Weblo leader. My latest calling is as a secretary for our women's group.
