Hi I'm Darlene

I live in Utah. I grew up in Wyoming. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Grandmother and great-grandmother and love spending time with family. I love to sing, play piano, sew, paint, cook and any other thing I can get my hands on. I spend a lot of time tending a two year old grand-daughter. I also love having lots of flowers in my yard. I love nature. I especially enjoy sunsets.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith, but I also became a convert through living the gospel teachings. I have learned through study, prayer and experience that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us very much. I know that we lived with Him before we came to this earth and His greatest desire is to have us come home and live with Him again. I know that we will have the opportunity to live again with our families there and that is a great comfort to me. I have spoken to Him through prayer and have found answers to my questions. I have felt His closeness and peace through times of trial and have come to trust Him. The gospel gives me hope when I am down trodden. In every aspect of my life, it helps me to be a better person when I strive to live it's principles and teachings. I am so grateful for this testimony and encourage you to find this same happiness for yourself.

How I live my faith

I play the piano and organ in our church. I have also been a teacher and have served in many leadership positions in our church. I home teach five families whom I love. I have served two missions for the church to help spread the good news of the gospel. I find great joy in service. It helps me to focus more on others and less on myself.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

I believe that through taking care of our bodies, we are able to serve more. Service not only helps others, but it makes us happier and more self fulfilled. We usually don't dwell so much on our own problems. Show more Show less
