Hi I'm Luke

I'm a husband, a father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised as a Mormom. Throughout my life, I have lived in many different places such as Vancouver, Haida Gwaii, Montreal, and Ottawa. I served a mission in the Canada Montreal Mission where I had the opportunity to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Shortyly after returning from my mission, I started attending university to study business and management. I married my wife just as my second year of university ended and we now have a two year old girl. During my limited amounts of free time I like to play sports, mainly volleyball and basketball I'm 6'8". I also consider myself an avid gamer. Video games are one of my favorite pastimes and I try my hardest to find time to enjoy them. When I'm not playing sports or gaming, I'm spending as much time as possible with my wife and my daughter. Family is very important to me. I also really enjoy reading fantasy, sci-fi, business, etc..

Why I am a Mormon

From a very young age, my parents taught me about Jesus Christ and His atonement. I grew up knowing that God loves me and His son died for me as well as everyone else. My parents were very important in shaping who I am today. During my teenage year, I started to really question the reason that I was going to church. I enjoyed going becuase I had friends and because my parents told me it was the right thing to do but I really wanted to know if I should be going. This is the time in my life where I decided to put my faith to the test and find out for myself if church is where I needed to be. The Book of Mormon played a large role in helping me to come to know that Jesus Christ does live, that He died for us, and that He was resurrected. I know that God still answers prayers and talks to man just as He did in the times of Abraham and Moses. I know that a man/women can get closer to God by reading and following the counsel found in the pages of The Book of Mormon. During my mission, I came to understand that anyone can change their life and repent of their sins. I learned that any strength that I have, comes from God and His son Jesus Christ. I learned that I am the happiest when I follow God's commandments and align my life with the teachings of Jesus Christ. My greatest desire is for everyone to feel this happiness and joy that comes from living the gospel of Jesus Chris.

How I live my faith

I have had the priviledge of having many callings in the church. I have been a Sunday school teacher, a missionary, an advisor to the youth, and a counsilor. I also serve Heavenly Father as a husband and a father. This is my greatest calling.
