Hi I'm Tim

I'm big in tech but from a small town. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since I was a small child, I've loved creating things and learning how things work. When I was a baby, I snuck screwdrivers into my crib and dismantled it. I made games, learned to program computers, and built things out of wood. Now I have a family of my own. I have two children and a lovely wife. I still work in computers and am lucky to be able to work from home and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I love the gospel. As an engineer, I love how the teachings of the gospel make sense. Because of my membership in the church, I not only know how the word was created, but more importantly, I know why and by whom. I know that trials and hardships are part of a loving plan. The more I learn the gospel, the more I know it's true. The spirit confirms to my heart that it's true. Also there is a saying in my field of work. You know when something is right because it will be beautiful. It will make sense and not have loose ends. This is exactly how the gospel explains the purpose of life.

How I live my faith

Since my family seems to move often, my responsibilities in the church change often as well. I've worked in several positions from leading the young fathers in the ward to keep the gospel strong to teaching 8-year-olds about the teachings and life of Jesus Christ.
