Hi I'm Sally

Dyed in the wool, true blue, through and through, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and going to law school, but I don't have any kids yet. When I graduate I want to work as an attorney for a couple of years and then I want to be a mommy full time. Hopefully we can get a dog somewhere in there...but it's probably going to have to be a small dog because we don't have a house...yet. We have a lot of growing up to do still . I love the outdoors! I love swimming and hiking and camping and being on the lake. When I'm not outside, I like reading old English novels and watching movies with my husband. We like all the superhero movies, and of course we're both Harry Potter nerds.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into a family that already had a knowledge of the LDS church. My parents were very faithful and taught me the importance of going to church regularly. As I got older, I realized how important the gospel of Jesus Christ really was in my life. I learned how much Heavenly Father loves me, and I learned that he loves every single one of his children here on Earth. We are all children of God, brothers and sisters working together to learn how to make our lives happy forever. Our life on earth has an extremely important purpose, and it is our duty to learn that purpose and continually work to overcome our imperfections so we can be more like Christ. It is also our responsibility to lift the burdens of others who are still struggling to find their way, whether those burdens are spiritual or physical.

How I live my faith

I currently am a Sunday School teacher in my ward. This year we're learning about the New Testament. Every Sunday we talk about the life of Christ and his teachings from when he was here on Earth. The things that he taught almost 2000 years ago are still applicable to our lives today and I am constantly amazed at how he is able to love us so perfectly and he knows us so well.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

I believe that before we came to this Earth, we lived with Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father and we learned about what our purpose was going to be when we came to Earth. I also believe that when we are born, we forget the things we knew before, and as we hear the Gospel again during our lives, there is something inside us that remembers what we knew before. The Church grows because when people hear the message of the Gospel, they remember.   Show more Show less
