Hi I'm Lianne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of 2 awesome kids a 3 year old boy and a 1.5 year old girl, and a wife to a great husband. I enjoy shopping, running, scrapbooking, being outside, playing games and doing anything with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into the church and I continue to practice my faith because I want what is best for me and my family. It makes me happy to know that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

We attend church every Sunday with our children and my husband and I both have callings serving in our ward. I am a ward missionary, and my job is to teach people about the gospel. My husband is a teacher and advisor to the 14-16 year old boys. At home we teach our children about the gospel by reading scriptures with them, praying and having family home evening. During family home evening we usually have a lesson centred on the gospel which has to be quite simple because our children are so young.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Lianne
Tithing money is used to build churches and temples and to help those who are in need of food, clothing or other necessities. The church often sends aid in the form of food, medical supplies and volunteers after natural disasters. 10 percent of an income can seem like a lot at times. However, our family has been blessed many times financially and we believe that it is because we pay our tithing. Although there has been times when we have financially really struggled, we have always been able to pay our bills one way or another. Whether it was an unexpected cheque in the mail or a promotion at work or a money gift, the Lord has always blessed us because we pay our tithing. Show more Show less
