Hi I'm Don

I love my wife, my kids, my friends, and my faith. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The thing that defines me best is my family. I have an amazing wife that is a wonderful support and best friend. I love to spend time with my kids. Three girls! I have to admit I have worn fairy wings and let them paint my toenails from time to time. I am in a dentistry residency and, being busy, I cherish the little time I get to send with them. Fall is my favorite time of the year and its not just because of college football (but that's a big part of it). I love to get out and play golf/tennis/frisbee golf or get to the lake when I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. He is my personal Savior and I am nothing without Him. Through the Spirit, I have come to now that His Church is on the earth today. The joy I receive from following his gospel exceeds any other pleasure we can have in this life. I know He loves me and I know He is always there for me.

How I live my faith

Having a concern for the well being of others is one way I try to follow the Savior's example. He is perfect and His love reaches everyone. I try to be a small piece of that love and help others to know that there is someone who is aware of them and cares for them. I feel that through loving each other, we can all become closer to God. One of my favorite quotes is, "It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice." I try to keep that perspective in my daily life. In my church, I spend a significant amount of my time with the youth. I teach Sunday school lessons and go on campouts from time to time. It has been a wonderful opportunity to see a good group of boys grow up and make good choices that help them draw nearer to God. While technically, I am the instructor, I have learned so much for the example of committed youth who seek to follow the Savior, make righteous decisions, and help others to do the same.
