Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 26 year old mother of 2. I am from Indiana, which made me unique growing up being one of the only Mormons in my school. I met my husband in college and we were married in the Washington DC temple. My husband is a convert to the church who was raised Catholic. I love being a mommy and watching as our little family grows. I like cooking, spending time with our families, going on vacations, boating, and playing outside with our dog.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church shortly after they were married, so I have been a member of the church my whole life. I grew up knowing that going to church was important, but I knew I needed to have a testimony of it for myself. I have had several experiences in my life where I have felt the Holy Ghost telling me the truthfulness of the gospel. I have seen how it has blessed my life and the lives of others around me. I'm a Mormon because it's true, and because it makes life easier if you follow it's teachings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example to those around me. I don't use foul language, I dress modestly, and I try to be a disciple of Christ by serving those around me. I am a nurse, and that naturally provides me many opportunities to serve others. I also serve in church by working with the youth and helping others in need. I also live my faith by teaching my children and having the Spirit in our home. Living my faith is not something that is only done on Sundays, it has to be done every moment of every day.
