Hi I'm Joel

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Joel, I am a Husband and Father. My wife Nichole and i have been married 19 years. we have 3 boys ages 17, 12, and 9. We live in a small farming community in Southern Idaho. My employment is 'Agriculture' related. Nichole is a full time 'mom' who exhausts all her energy on rearing 3 rowdy boys and myself. I enjoy the seasonal climate of Idaho. I love the wilderness, mountains, lakes, and streams. I enjoy the bounty of wildlife in the area. I love the wide open space available for recreation. I enjoy the freedoms available to me because of where I live. I am happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is my choice and it feels right. I enjoy the quality of life that abiding by 'Mormon' principles provides. I believe that the being a Mormon allows myself and my family a way of life that provides happiness based on forgiveness and hope that is not based on circumstances. I am a Mormon because Jesus Christ is my Savior and I can grow closer to him personally by following the teachings, concepts, and expectations that are taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or......the Mormon religion. i know that God Lives and that he loves us all equally and unconditionally. This is the lifestyle i have chosen to try and live by to the best of my abilities, given my own personal weaknesses. I know that the authority to perform life saving Ordinances is found here on earth and it resides in the Mormon religion. I know this to be true. I Love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to exemplify the life of the savior in my everyday living. By treating others the way I want to be treated. By showing love to everyone. By believing in second chances. By knowing that I can be forgiven of my short comings and allowing others to experience the same knowledge. I try to involve myself and my family in church and community service opportunities, be they Mormon, non-denomoninational, or any religion for that matter. I am involved with the Youth of the church. I enjoy being a friend and leader amongst them. I live my faith by showing that I love Jesus Christ by following his example and implementing his teachings into my life. And by giving my best effort daily to teach my children how to be good citizens and a better Mormon than I. As a family we live our faith by attending regular worship services each Sunday. We enjoy spending quality time with dear friends. We enjoy welcoming new people to our faith or to our neighborhood. We try diligently to spend adequate time with family to show our love and gratitude for each one of them. I guess I live my faith by striving to show it by example.
