Hi I'm Liz

I'm a single mom of 3, work as a MRI tech & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single mom of 3, 1 just out of college, 1 in high school and 1 in Middle school. I work full time as a MRI technologist at the local trauma hospital in Redding. I have been in the MRI field for 20 years and I really like what I do. Between work and kids, there's not much time for other things. I like to camp, hike, just to generally be outdoors. I just got a kayak and am enjoying it! I like to read murder mysteries and historical novels. I love watching my kids grow and learn in all their activities, I enjoy the company of great friends. I feel very lucky and blessed in my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the peace I find in the gospel as taught by the Scriptures, both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I have been given peace and light through some very dark times in my life through reading the scriptures. I appreciate the eternal perspective of the gospel. I know we existed as spirits prior to this life and I know we will continue existing past this life. I know that families exist in eternity. I have faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and because of it I will be forgiven my mistakes, and be able to be with my family in the here after.

How I live my faith

I work with a group that represents our church on our city's Interfaith Council. We work with other church's to build and foster relationships and understanding between each of us and the community. We participate in community-wide service projects, like stuffing school back-packs for the less advantaged children in our community. I also work for our church's Girls Camp that teaches outdoor skills and builds confidence and character in our 12-18 year old girls. I volunteer when I can, where ever I can.
