Hi I'm Stephen

I'm a pretty simple man. I love God. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Probably the most important thing to know about me is the deepest desires of my heart. They are the following: 1) I want to get to the point where I have perfect charity. 2) I want everyone else to get to that point as well. 3. I want to *truly understand* what everyone has gone through, is going through, and will ever go through. I love Daddy Upstairs. I love people. I love life. One of my favorite pastimes is simply visiting people. I love that.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I love being Mormon. The gospel of Jesus Christ is found here, more fully than anywhere else on earth--including such truths as the gift of becoming like our Savior and like our Father in Heaven. He wants to give us everything He has, and the only thing we need to do (which is quite difficult), is to lay our whole will on the alter, choose Him, and want to be changed with all our hearts into a being who loves perfectly. Hungering and thirsting after that, and giving it everything I have, shows me that I'm willing to do whatever it takes, that it truly is who I am, and then Daddy does for me what I can't do--He makes me what I want to be. That truth is priceless. Truths like that... continuing revelation--daily... the authority to act in the name of God with His power... It's all here. What's the goal? Perfect love. That's what it means to be like God. That's what He wants for us. That's what it's all about.

How I live my faith

Well... I'm striving diligently to be like my Savior. I have a long way to go, but His atonement, and Daddy's grace are getting me there--step by precious step. I try to... 1. Get up early and study and ponder the scriptures, my life, how I can better live like Jesus, etc. 2. I try to eat healthily and exercise, so I take care of the miracle that is my body. 3. I go to LDS addiction recovery meetings just about every day. They rule. If you haven't been to one... I highly recommend them :). 4. I've cut TV, movies, and popular music just about totally out of my life. I'm really grateful I have. 5. I try to go to bed early so I get enough sleep to have a meaningful study/pondering time in the morning. Daddy gives me joy. He shows me my pride. He gives me strength to act on things I can do to demonstrate my desire to overcome my pride. Then He changes my heart, and I become, little by little, more like Him and my Savior. It's wonderful :).
