Hi I'm Michael

I love thrift stores and animal shirts. I pretend to be good at basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

COLORADO! (where a man can walk a mile high!) Except for the first 6 months of my life, I have lived a "Mile High". I love telemark skiing and biking. I love Jeopardy. I enjoy cooking, especially Thai food. My personal favorite meal is the BBQ chicken quesadilla. I play the drumset and was on the drumline all of high school. I am all about grooves. Much to my family's annoyance, I cannot help myself from tapping on any pot, spot, or table top I can find. I also like me some Classical piano--No one soothes the soul quite like Liszt and Chopin.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at eight years old. I am grateful for my parent's influence in teaching me the gospel of Jesus Christ from a young age. The church of Jesus Christ and its beliefs are for all ages and people. The principles are simple enough for a child to understand, yet so deep that the brightest minds cannot shed light on all of it. Through the Holy Ghost's witness, I know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are both given to the world to bring all closer to Christ. Today, I am led by Jesus Christ through our prophet Thomas S. Monson. In this spiritually dangerous world, one cannot only rely on the convictions of his parents. Everyone still needs their own true conversion, if they hope to weather the moral hurricanes. Those who never are truly converted, fall away. I have, through test and trial, received witness after witness that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is indeed the very church set up by Jesus Christ and restored by Joseph Smith. God exists and has a plan for every one of his children. Jesus Christ leads His church today through his prophet, Thomas S. Monson. My testimony has withstood the winds of the world. Each storm of doubt or distress has only strenghtened my testimony in Jesus Christ and His Church. I know that this gospel brings me more lasting, true happiness than any other source. I am a Mormon because of the pure happiness that comes from following and knowing Jesus Christ. His Church is the best way to access His Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to strenghten my personal, individual relationship with God. That relationship then directs the rest of my actions. One may choose to act out of peer pressure or for one's own image, but I focus on acting purely out of the love I have for God, Jesus Christ, and mankind. As I do this, I better feel the love I know He has for me.
