Hi I'm Shu-Chih

I grew up in Taiwan, I have an art studio for children & youth. I am an artist,a day dreamer,a mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I came to America when I was 17 years old, America has offer me opportunities to grow and have the freedom of thinking. I love finding new way of seeing and understand things. I enjoy day dreaming, painting, drawing, gardening, cooking and Yoga. The world I dreamed of sometimes seem more real than the one I live in, I hope I can take people there through my art. Making good food can bring people together, when we are eating we are also bonding. Gardening teaches me the principle of growing. The planning, trimming, watering, harvesting all has its own timing. Yoga help me balance my physical and spiritual, every day can be differently, but the key is “ just do it”. I am a mother of three. Even through it is a challenge being a divorced mom but the blessing is greater. I run an art studio at home, teaching over 100 students can be overwhelming, but it is also a great reward to watch them grow in the process of learning. I believe every problem come with salutation and every challenge in life come with blessing.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 21. I love the teaching of Jesus Christ and His Church. I am a Mormon because I believe that personal growth is an eternal process. I also believe that I can be together with my children and loved ones forever. Each day I am given the privilege to learn more about God, myself and others.

How I live my faith

I love classical music so I volunteered in a community youth orchestra. There is a great energy to be engaged with the youth and the music. I also teach Sunday School in Chinese and visit the members who need help. Through helping others I have gained a better understanding of losing myself in service. Most of all I grow through my mistakes and imperfections.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Even it is challenges and it is a life time process being a good mom and daughter. But, I can not image family relationship end it this life. I believe and know that God has power and a divine plan for us.   Show more Show less
