Hi I'm Elizabeth

I am a wife. I study rocket science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student majoring in Mechanical Engineering and enjoy playing the piano, singing, and shooting off model rockets. I love old musicals and happy endings. I am married to a wonderful man. Someday soon I hope that I can be a mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have felt the love of Jesus Christ in my heart. Following His gospel helps me to keep that love in my heart always. As I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, I have hope for a better world and faith that everything will work out. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves me. He loves all of us. He died for us and lives again. Because of Him I can be with my family forever no matter what happens.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church because it helps me to meet so many other wonderful people. Some are close to my age and situation and some are not. I have the opportunity to visit with other women and talk to them and get to know them better. We learn from each other and help each other. I have made so many wonderful friendships that will stay with me forever.

What is faith?

Faith is believing something that you cannot see. It is the action that results when you truly hope for something and then go forward believing it will happen. Faith requires courage.   Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

The more I study science, the more I know that there is a God and that he cares. I've often looked up at the stars and felt that there has to be someone holding everything together. When I am out in nature and look at the beautiful things around me, they are too intricate and perfect to be put here by chance.  Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are awesome. The women in the church work right alongside the men in the church in planning and organizing. The church believes that men and women are equals. Men and women have different roles and responsibilities but one is not more important than the other. It takes both to really succeed. As a woman in the church, I have never felt less important or significant than my husband, father, or brothers. They have treated me as an important and significant part of God's plan.  Show more Show less
