Hi I'm James

I like to ride anything with two wheels and make it go as fast as possible. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been happily married for 13 years now. We have 3 great kids. I work part time as an EMT on an ambulance and I am a pre-med student. I plan to work in emergency and wilderness medicine after school. With the little spare time I have, I like to ride motorcycles and bicycles. Motocross and mountain bikes are my favorite; however I did a huge road race around Mount Rainier this year and loved it. I am a non-bias motorcycle and bicycle rider. I love them all.

Why I am a Mormon

Having been born and raised a Mormon, I have watched as many very respectable doctors, lawyers, pilots, and other professionals have left their careers to serve full time as volunteers in the Church. Many wonder why anyone would walk away from such successful careers to serve in the church full time without pay. They did it for the same reason I would, because God lives and loves us. Christ gave us two great commandments in Matthew 22:37-39, Love God and Love your neighbor. Many great prophets throughout history have given up personal interests, careers; some even gave their lives to show their love for God. It amazes me and strengthens my knowledge that this is the true church to watch in admiration as well educated professionals sacrifice everything for what they believe in most, the gospel of Jesus Christ. So many people are willing to give so much because of a personal knowledge that this is Jesus Christ’s church and his will be done. Through the church I have many chances to help and serve others. Service is one small way I can show my love for God. It’s one small way I can show my gratitude for the immeasurable amount kindness and love I have been shown in my own life. I am blessed. My family is blessed. The blessings my family and I have received come from serving others and from an absolute knowledge that God lives and all good things come from him. I am a Mormon because I have prayed to our Heavenly Father and asked if I should be. The answer was a resounding yes! The Book of Mormon is the word of God to his children on the American continent. The Bible and the Book of Mormon complement each other and provide us with a greater understanding of Gods will for us. I know that Christ lives. He gave the ultimate sacrifice for us and made it possible to return to him one day. My family will be together forever because that’s God’s plan of salvation for us.

How I live my faith

I like to show my faith through kindness and service to others. I feel a great reward from providing meaningful acts of kindness. I recognize that the great rewarding feeling I get from service is the love of God. Jesus says in Mathew 25:40 “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Service and kindness are both ways I can show my faith in Jesus Christ.
