Hi I'm Sam

I play the Tuba, family is everything to me, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family is very important to me and I love spending time with them. When I'm not spending time with my family I'm either playing a game or the tuba, working, or occasionally doing stuff with my friends. I started playing trumpet in 7th grade but i quickly decided I wanted something else so I started playing the tuba and I have stuck with it ever since. I was very fortunate to be able to play the tuba in the University of Utah Marching band. I am a firm believer that God loves music, why else would he give it to us? I have also been able to teach students at my local high school how to play a low brass instrument in the marching band. When I'm not with my family I love to do things with my friends. I love to go bowling even though I am not all that great at it. I also enjoy giving service to others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church but I realized when i was a sophomore in high school that i didn't really believe for myself but for my parents. I needed to find out for myself if the Mormon church was right. So I did the one thing i knew I could do. I prayed to our Heavenly Father and asked him if the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is his church on the earth today. When I asked and listened, I felt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church once again established here on the earth. That is why i'm a Mormon, because I did what the prophet Moroni and also what James said to do. which is to ask God. Because I asked God, I received my answer. I know that anyone who asks God searching for an answer, really wanting to receive an answer will get an answer from God through the Spirit.

How I live my faith

I love to just go about my day and make people smile. I love to let people know that there is someone who does care about them. Our Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ are always watching over us. I live my faith by telling others this through talking to them and just giving them a smile. Ever since i have come to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church I have made religion a big part of my life. I share the message of God's plan of Happiness for his children as much as possible. I also try to be as much like Christ as I can. I do this in many ways, but the biggest is through service. Christ served the people and helped many. I try my best to go about my day and serve as many people as I can. By doing this I hope to help them come to the knowledge that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them and cares about them. I also live my faith by reading the Book of Mormon and Bible. Because in them I learn of Christ and how I can live my life so I can live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again for eternity.
