Hi I'm Ash

I'm a student and a wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student majoring in Classical Studies. I spend a lot of my time reading through classical literature such as Homer and Plato and translating into English from Attic Greek and Latin. In April 2011, I married my best friend for time and all eternity in the temple of the Lord. Beyond that, I love to read novels, play the piano, participate in theater, and dabble in arts and crafts.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but it isn't the only reason why I'm a Mormon. I think my real conversion happened in high school. My beliefs, everything I had learned from a very young age, were tested by classmates and teachers. My friends would ask questions about my church, and as I answered, I would receive confirmation from the Spirit that what I was telling my friends was true. I began really reading the scriptures to find some of the answers I needed. I also made friends who were Mormons, something I hadn't done before due to circumstance. These friends were angels in my life they inspired me to want to be more like Christ.  I gained my own testimony of the gospel during that time and it has only continued to strengthen since.

How I live my faith

My husband and I just moved and so as of yet, we have no formal responsibilities in our ward. We do, however, attend church services every week and live up to our standards every day.
