Hi I'm Lindsey

I'm a dancer, a friend, I love to smile, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE to dance. I have been studying dance in college for the past 3 years and as I've learned, I've developed a great appreciation for the magnificence of the human body and all the varied and expressive ways in which it can move. I recently had the ability to dance taken away from me due to an injury. I know what its like to be incapable of doing something that you long for, that you love. But through the Gospel, I have found other ways to "dance". Life is a dance and you learn as you go. If we keep smiling and pushing forward even when we don't know what the outcome will end up being, Christ can show us the way to achieve our dreams and desires. We will all get our happily ever after in the end, but how could we really appreciate it without some bumps along the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of Christ's Church plain and simple because its TURE and it brings me so much happiness. I'm of the belief that everyone wants to be happy, everyone is looking for how they can best live their lives to influence others for good and to make a difference in the world. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is one of action. If we LIVE the principles, we LEARN what we each need individually to live a successful and happy life. I know that Heavenly Father is so intimately aware of ALL the small and large details of our lives. He is our Father and longs to hear from us. He is sad when we are sad, and He rejoices with us when we are happy. Because He loves us so much He sent His son, Jesus Christ to make it possible for us to have happiness in this life and peace in the life to come, despite the challenges and trials that come into our lives either by our own choices or the choices of others. Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, all that is unfair about life can be made right, and I have seen that over and over in my life as I've turned to Him. The Gospel makes sad people happy, and happy people happier. I've had the privilege to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to some amazing people and I've seen it change lives. I've seen a literal light come into their eyes when they undertook a serious study of Christ's Gospel. I've seen the Book of Mormon give them the power to overcome many great obstacles. The fruits of this Gospel are those that everyone is seeking. Answers can be found through study and prayer. Heavenly Father loves us, He is aware of us, and He has provided the perfect template for us to be happy. I love the way I feel when I participate in the Gospel. I've lived it and I've experienced the blessings, the peace, the happiness, the support, the learning, the joy that comes from being a part of this glorious Gospel.

How I live my faith

I just returned from serving a mission for the Church in Orlando, FL. I had the opportunity to devote myself full time to serving the Lord and bringing others the good news and happiness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My purpose was to "invite others to come unto Christ by helping them to receive the restored Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end." As a missionary I had the opportunity to teach and testify of the reality and divinity of our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life and I'm so grateful for the opportunity that I had to serve.
