Hi I'm Lindsay Bush

I am in love with chocolate, I am studying to become an elementary school teacher, I love baking and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in southern California. I love it! Ever since I have been little I have been wanting to bake, my dad and I used to make brownies every Sunday, starting when I was in preschool. I would always stand on a little chair and help stir in all the ingredients wearing my little apron. All I wanted for Christmas when I was little was a play kitchen. I have grown up being my happiest in the kitchen, it just calms me. I love trying new things and throwing in different ingredients. I think it would be so cool to open a little bakery. It brings me so much joy when I get to make a new delicious creation! I also enjoy golfing, this is something I have been doing since I was younger. My dad used to take me and my brothers to the driving range as kids. I kept going out with my dad and then I played during all of high school. It always bonded my dad and I, we would get to talk about life and how things were going. I am not a very competitive person when it comes to sports and so golf is perfect for me because I just get to challenge myself. I am a college student and I live in Hawaii. It has been a lot of fun living there, I love swimming in the beautiful water and seeing Gods beautiful creations all around me. Just being around my family brings me so much joy, I love when we are all able to be home together and just laugh. I have to admit shopping is one of my weaknesses it really never gets old.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being a Mormon allows me to live a life that is closer to my savior Jesus Christ. When I was a sophomore in high school I was diagnosed with Crohns disease, I lost energy and became so weak. I lost about 20lbs and was in constant pain. I was put on a medication called prednisone, I had my face swell up looking as though I had just gotten my wisdom teeth pulled. One day when I saw a friend of mine and she didn't recognize me, I remember looking in the mirror and crying because I did not recognize the person I saw in front of me, the thought soon entered into my mind that he knows me. No matter what happens to me my Lord and savior knows me. He suffered in the garden of gethsemane for me and he has already felt the sadness and loneliness I was feeling. During this time I began to pour out my whole heart in prayer, I could feel his hand reaching out to comfort me. Telling me he loved me and he will always be there for me. I would feast on the words of Christ through the holy scripture to feel of his love and guidance. I truly know this is the true church of Jesus Christ! I love him and know, through this gospel it is able to bring me closer to him. As a member of the church I am able to have the comfort of knowing that my family will be together again after this life. I am able to know that one day I will be able to return back into his loving arms to live with him again. I know it is not just me he loves and wants to return to him. He truly loves each and everyone of his children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to love the people around me. I try to see people the way Christ would see them. I attend church to be able to come closer to my heavenly father and remind me each week of how instrumental he is in my life. I pray to my heavenly father each day, I know he listens to me and loves me. I know each day he blesses me, I want to live in a way that I know my heavenly father is proud of me and the decisions I have made.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Lindsay Bush
Mormons totally regard the Bible as holy Scriptures! I love the Bible, I love reading about the prophets of old and Christs minisrty on earth. The Book of Mormon is scripture that is able to add to the Bible to give further evidence of our saviors love for each and everyone of his children. At times of hardship in my life I have loved reading in the New testament about how christ lived his life and seeing all of the hardships that he was able to overcome. I am so grateful for the Bible because it allows me to know more about my Savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
