Hi I'm Kevan

I am from Hong Kong. I served a mission in Canada Vancouver as a full time missionary. And I love the gospel!

About Me

I grow up in this church and my parents were converts of the church. There are 4 people in my family include myself. I grow up in Hong Kong and I went to university about a year in Hawaii. I am currently serving my mission in Canada as a full time missionary. I love listening to music and watch movies. And I like volleyball and hang out with friends a lot. I am a out going person and I love to talk to people and meet with new friends.

Why I am a Mormon

People may say because my parents are members so deservedly I am a Mormon. Part of the reason I am a Mormon is really because of my parents, but it is because of their good examples and how they live in the gospel that bring blessings in the family. And it is a wonderful blessing that I know my family will be sealed together forever and death will not separate the relationship that we have. This kind of hope and peaceful feeling can't find in any other place but the restored gospel. My testimony about the church is not that strong in my teenage years but I always know that what I believe is true. As I am serving my mission right now, my testimony has strengthened a lot. My testimony got stronger as I read the Book of Mormon and I pray with all my heart to ask God again if the things that I believe is true or not. When every time I share my testimony, a comfort feeling that let me know that the restored gospel is true. I know that everyone of you can come to know the truth by what I did, that is to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know it's truthfulness. The same Spirit will testify to you this is true and this is what you need in your life.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday to partake the sacrament and I keep learning gospel principles in Sunday Classes. Everyday I spend some time on reading the scriptures and church materials to strengthen my faith and testimony. I am just like other members of the church that I follow God's commandments and try my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Kevan
Yes, family is so important to members of the church. Because we know that family is not just an important unit for this life but also for eternal life. We believe that before we were born, we lived with God and he is our Heavenly Father. We were in a big family and all of us are brothers and sisters. God gave us a plan of happiness that he sent us to this earth to learn and grow. One of the GREATEST gifts that God has given us is family. God establish family as a unit on earth and also the life after. We will find the most happiest moments in our families and through applying the gospel teachings, we can have families that even have more love and care. The most important thing is as we know that families are forever, death will not separate the relationship with our family members. I love my family and I know that we will live together forever!
