Hi I'm Dano

I jump on the tramp, I have THE most awesome family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My real name is actually Daniel, but everyone calls me Dano and i love it! I have grown up in Sandy Utah my whole life. I have the most awesome family ever! I am the youngest of 5: 3 sisters and 1 brother. My family and I are all really close, that would include my cousins who live a block away from me. My family and cousins are my best friends. I have grown up playing basketball... you would think i would be a lot better then i am. I like to do many other things: go camping/hiking, jump on the tramp, and go mountain biking- I'm not good at all. I actually worked at a bike shop for a year and a half, so you would think i would have gone more often. I am a big fan of Ninja Turtles, Optimus Prime, and Spider-man, and other random things like that. And i Love cookie dough, it is my favorite food (if you can call it a food).

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. Like everyone else who is born into the Mormon church i have prayed and come to know that the church is true for myself. I am extremely grateful for it and know that i would not be near as happy in my life if it were not for God's church here on earth. The way that i have come to know that the church is true is by the Book of Mormon. I know that by God's love he has given us the Book or Mormon. By knowing the Book of Mormon is true i now know everything in this church is true: Jesus Christ is the savior and is my advocate, Joseph Smith was a Prophet, The power of God is on the earth again today, And Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God. Man, am i ever grateful for the power of prayer and for the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

Right now i am a Missionary for Jesus Christ. I love it! It has been a really good way to live my faith and hopefully help others come to the same happiness from the gospel as i have. Before i was a missionary the way i would live it was by being obedient and reading the scriptures and praying. Also part of living in the Gospel is doing service, so with a little push from my parents at times, i would go and do service of some sort. I am now extremely grateful for their pushes. Being a Missionary is an experience you can't explain. Seeing people make changes in their lives and become happier is such a blessing and a Joy! I may only be on my mission in Portland Oregon for 2 years, but i plan to be a missionary my whole life. I also live it by asking for forgiveness for the wrongs that i make, and trying my best to make as few mistakes as possible.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Dano
The Atonement of Jesus Christ was/is/and will always be the most important event that has ever happened on this earth. The Atonement is Jesus Christ's sacrifice that has made it possible for us to live with our Heavenly Father again, and with our Families forever! It includes 3 things his Sacrifice in the Garden of Gethsemane, His Death on the Cross, and his Resurrection. His Sacrifice in the Garden of Gethsemane is where he bled from every pore for our sins. There is where he suffered for everyone that had lived, was living, or whoever would live.... Everyone! I know that he saw everyone of us personally, and knowing that he was going to have to suffer because of our sins, He continued on because he loves everyone of us. Not only did he suffer for our sins, but for our pains and sicknesses as well. His Death on the Cross is where he was cucified. He was nailed to a Cross, whipped, beaten, and more. I keep thinking to myself "how did he keep going?" The only answer that i can think of is that he loves us. After he died on the cross he was resurrected, which means that he was raised from the dead. This allows all of us to also be raised from the dead after we die. He came back to his apostles with a perfect body an immortal body. "No unclean thing can enter into the pressence of God." 3 Nephi 2719 We are cleaned of our sins because of his atonement. All we have to do is have faith and ask for forgiveness knowing that he will forgive us. Show more Show less
