Hi I'm Susan

I live on a beautiful island. I love doing family history research. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 7 great children and grandmother of 6 absolutely beautiful amazing grandchildren. I love spending time with my family. I love summer and planning little get aways with my grandkids. I love to travel, especially when I get to find new relatives and see where my ancestors lived. If I could do whatever I wanted each day it would be spent with my family, researching my ancestors and reading reading reading. I own with my husband 3 businesses, which keep me way too busy, and I look forward to retiring!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. But beyond that I could not imagine my life without the gospel of Jesus Christ and the guidance and direction it has given me in my life and that of my family. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and knows me personally and that He will sustain me through all of my trials and tribulations and rejoice with me in all my joy and happiness. I feel so blessed to know that Families can be Together Forever and I am so grateful to be able to help link generations together forever. I love to go to the temple. I am blessed to know that we have a living Prophet on the Earth and that he gives guidance and direction for me today. I am blessed to recognize that all my family and friends that live the commandments of Jesus Christ are so blessed and happy, not trial and tribulation free but happy. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I love being a Mormon because of all the opportunities it gives me to serve others. I have most often served with the young women and young men. I LOVE teenagers. I have had the opportunity to spend time teaching them in early morning church classes about the Old and New Testament, I have been able to spend time leading and teaching them at girls camps, dances, plays, sports and lots of other activites. Right now I am helping young men become Eagle Scouts. Nothing brings me greater joy and satisfaction than working with teenagers and knowing that the future of the world is in such great hands. I have also had many opportunities to serve on citizen advisory committees, as PTA President and in the classroom working one on one with children at my children's schools. I love that I am encouraged to be involved in my community. But I think that thing that is the most reassuring is that I always know that if I need help or just a listening ear that there is always someone there for me.
