Hi I'm Jeff

I am currently serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission speaking spanish and I am a Mormom.

About Me

I grew up wakeboarding and snowboarding. It was a family activity we could all do together and it brought us closer as a family once a week. My parents truly taught me the importance of a family through doing some of the funnest things ever. We were always together in sporting activities supporting eachother and helping eachother progress in the sporting event each of us were currently participating in. I grew up in California and then my family, just like any other Mormon family, migrated to Utah. Throughout High School i saw both sides of the spectrum. Coming from a High School in California who had about 10 Mormons out of 3,400 students to a High School in Utah which was a 99 Mormon populated school. I definitely love both places for my different reasons. Right now i am in the process of learning another language and this can be very difficult at times but it is a tool i know i will be able to use for the rest of my life. This gospel message gives me the comfort i need in those times where we all get down on ourselves... and if any of you have learned a 2nd language you know what i am talking about. My family is about the closest/most important thing in my life. Everyday I am more and more glad to have such an awesome support system. Also, my friends help me out so much. I have met some of the most awesome people in the world out here in Texas on my mission. Not only the members of our faith, other missionaries but the people out here are awesome.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for plain and simple reasons- This gospel or message that we share of the Restoration of the true church is truly the most amazing "news" we can have. It helps us and gives us the comfort, knowledge and strength we need to be able to live this life. This faith guides us and helps us when those tough decisions of life come around.

How I live my faith

I love having this message in my life becuase it helps me make the right decisions here in this life. This gospel and this plan that our Heavenly Father has for us helps me in my everyday life. There is no other way of truly exeriencing happiness. I thought i knew what happiness was earlier on in life but it truly only comes when you realize how much help we have all received in our life from our Heavenly Father. I live right now with hope. I enjoy this life as well but I know the things that bring me joy that are of this world don't last. Only thing im gonna be able to take with me when I die is my experiences, my knowledge and my relationships. I can't lie, its very hard trying to focus my life on those things just cuz i freakin love sports, but what brings more happiness to my life is sharing time with my family... or you can be like my family and share time together while being out on the lake or up camping and dirtbiking or a day up on the mountain with some warm hot chocolate:) thats true happiness for me!

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jeff
A lot of people tell me that when we die our relationships end and they are no more.... hmmm.... do you really think God would give us the opportunity to have a family here, share the most wonderful experiences together and then one day say "alright, thats it. Go ahead and go your seperate ways and you're no longer a family" .... haha come on let's have a little bit of sense here. The family is the best place for us to learn more about God and his son Jesus Christ, why would he build us up only to tear us apart? It doesn't make sense to me. My family means so much to me because we all know that this life isn't easy and they are always there for me and have always been just like everyone else's family but I have something special that not a ton of people have... My family will always be there for me in the future for all eternity as well. This is something that you can only obtain through the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is one of the most important things for me to have regardless of what faith I claim. So yes, families are extremely important to us members of the LDS church but it's just because we can see how important the family really is. We help eachother out in no matter what we happen to be going through. "Families are Forever" Show more Show less
