Hi I'm Rick

A husband, father, executive, volunteer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being a husband for 27 years, a father of 5 and a grandfather of 2 - hard to believe - has provided me with a great amount of happiness and my highest priority. I work for a cattle company and feel very fortunate to have a interesting, ever-changing, and demanding position. Playing golf, basketball and other sports has been a big part of my life and now my fitness. Recently I bought a motorcycle with the rather tentative approval from my wife. At over 50 years old admittedly perhaps a midlife crisis number 2. A Mazda Miata, ten years ago, was crisis number 1.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a Mormon family and raised in the church. In fact, I come from a long line of Mormons that were some of the early leaders of the church. However, I am convinced that the Mormon church is unique from any other church on the earth because God has revealed it to me through his spirit. I have studied and prayed and know that the Mormon church provides a way for my family to be with me forever. I know that if I follow the teachings of the Savior, read the scriptures, and listen to modern prophets I will have joy in this life and the next.

How I live my faith

My family is the most important part of my life. My wife, children and grandchildren's success brings me the most amount of joy in my life and provides me with a great amount of pride. I am also fortunate to have a very interesting, rewarding, and demanding job in the cattle industry and keeping a balance is really a challenge. However, the gospel of Jesus Christ provides me with the guidance to keep my priorities focused on my family which will be with me even after this life.
