Hi I'm Samantha

I'm a Mother, I'm and Accountant, I'm a Recent Convert and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to a wonderful daughter and I enjoy snowboarding, running, playing at the lake and hanging out with my daughter. I work as an auditor and graduated with a degree in accounting in 2008. I intend on living my life so that I do not die with my music left in me. My Favorite Quote Spencer Kimball said "One of the most serious human defects in all ages is procrastination, an unwillingness to accept personal responsibilities now." To go along with this thought he also quoted Samuel Johnson "hell is paved with good intentions" and Kimball contiunued saying "The Lord will not translate one's good hopes and desires and intentions into works. Each of us must do that for himself." I am thankful everyday for my beautiful daughter and that I get to wake up everyday and do something with my life. I am also thankful for the love that has been given to me and hope everyday I can give as much as I have received.

Why I am a Mormon

My Conversion Story My daughter’s father was a Mormon but was not active while we were together and when we split-up he told me that he was going to start taking our daughter to church on the Sunday’s that he had her. I was really nervous about this because I did not know much about the church and that night the missionaries knocked on my door asking if they could teach me. I let them in but secretly I though there was no way they were going to convert me because I had already been baptized, but I also knew they could teach me what my daughter was going to be learning. Well needless to say they were more persistent than I was stubborn and about seven weeks later I was baptized on January 29, 2011. Since, I have enjoyed going to church and making life long friends who generally care about me and my daughter’s well-being. I can testify that if you have the desire to learn and grow closer to your heavenly father he will bring the people and things into your life to help you along your journey. If you ask Him with the belief that He will answer you then you will get that answer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving all people as they are my brothers and sisters. I also live my faith by being the best example to my daughter as I can be.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Pray and ask your heavenly father when you are reading the scriptures if what you are reading is from Him. Do not take someone's word that what you are reading is true, this is an enternity we are talking about, you should be sure for yourself! Show more Show less
