Hi I'm Taylor

I`m a distance runner, a drummer, a crazy friend, and I`m a Mormon

About Me

I`m a college student majoring in exercise science. I run track and cross country for my school and love it. I served a mission for the church in Brazil for two years and had some very memorable experiences. I hope to go to chiropractic school after my bachelors degree. I also enjoy rock music and play the drums.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family and baptized at 8 years old. I looked forward to that day until it came and I haven`t ever regretted it. Like most teens, I went through a little bit of a rebellious stage and had to figure out really where I stood. As some of my friends started going in different directions, I had to decide what I would do. Through scripture study, prayer, and being honest with myself, the spirit was able to confirm the truth to me. I can`t think of a specific conversion moment, but my testimony of the truth has been strengthened time and time again as I do what I know God hopes from me. I`m positive that the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ and that confirms to me the reality of the restoration of Christ`s gospel through the prophet Joseph Smith. It confirms to me that Christ is my Savior. I know for myself that this church is true.

How I live my faith

My faith is the center of my life. I`m way far from perfect, but I`m constantly trying to do what I know to be right. I pray every morning and night and try to read the scriptures Bible and Book of Mormon every day. I hardly ever miss church on Sunday and that has become my favorite day. Sundays give me strength for the rest of the week. I try to live so that the spirit can be with me and give me the peace that I need.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Our bodies are one of the greatest gifts our Heavenly Father has given us. He hopes that we treat them with respect. Our bodies are able to do amazing things so we should treat them better than any material thing. Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and take advantage of our lives, which is so much easier when we keep our bodies healthy and treat them well. Show more Show less
