Hi I'm Susie

I'm an American abroad. I'm a wife, a mother, a listener and a do-er, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a military spouse, currently living the wild Mom of Young Kids Life, volunteering, and juggling all the balls whenever my husband is away for work. I love my family, travel, silly movies, learning to run, and Jane Austen novels.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church as an adult - I am a Mormon because I believe that Joseph Smith saw our Lord and his Son, and that the church which came about because of that vision is the right place for me and my family to love and serve God.

How I live my faith

"Love God, and the person in front of you." A wise man named Ely Cruz said that, and it distills Christ's most important commandments for me. In my daily life, I try to honor the Lord and love my fellow beings. At church, I am a teacher for the 10-11-year-olds' Sunday School class - I love listening to their prayers and seeing how sweet their love for God can. I've learned from them that parents who share their faith create strong families, and I take that home to my own family. I also volunteer with our local preschool, and with the families of deployed troops in my husband's work unit.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Susie
I do believe that prophets exist in our day. Why would God speak to people in ages past and stop speaking now? The prophet who leads the LDS church today is Thomas S. Monson. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Susie
We believe that we live our lives on Earth so that we can learn and grow as followers of Christ, before we return to our Father in heaven Show more Show less
