Hi I'm Roni

I grew up in Toronto, Canada. I love Basketball, Dancing, Singing, and Sleeping. I love having a good time, and I'm A Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in Toronto's west side. I have an older brother and sister, and 2 Egyptian parents. I grew up in the church but I investigated other religions and grew up around other religions since I was young. I took courses in High School and University about religions as well. I had a slow long journey to come to the faith i am at now. I am currently serving a Mission for this church in the Vancouver, British Columbia area in Canada.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I came to find out that this is the True Gospel of Jesus Christ and I wanted to follow our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to the best of my ability. What better way to do that then by following Jesus Christ's True Gospel? I came to know of its truthfulness through a few things. I first really wanted to know if it was true. Then I read the scriptures, asked if it was true, and over time, and coming to church, I was told it was true through the Holy Ghost. The great thing about this Gospel is that all people can do the same, and we invite all to do the same. That is why I am a Mormon. .

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continually striving to obey the commandments of the Lord that we have been given. I am an active member in our church. I also love helping people. I love participating in youth programs and seeing the youth grow. I share this Gospel with people because I love it so much that I want to share it with other people so they can have the same happiness.

Are Mormons Christians?

Roni
Yes. Mormons or by their Full Name, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are Christian. We have a deep love for our Savior and he is the Cornerstone of our Religion. so much so that He is in the name of the church itself. Show more Show less

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Roni
Mormon Church Services have 3 portions or "blocks" depending on where you go they could be in any order, but what happens is the same. What is typically the first block is called Sacrament Meeting. This is where we take something called the Sacrament to remember our Savior Jesus Christ. We sit with out families and hear talks about various topics such as Faith, Families, How to receive answers from God, and other such topics. The second block is a class split up according to age groups. You would go to a class for your appropriate age group and discuss doctrines of the gospel. Then the third block you would split up into another class With your age group AND separate the men and women into their own classes, also to discuss other doctrines and gospel principles. Visitors and not only allowed but encouraged! Please if you have any desire at all to come please do so and don't be afraid of the overwhelming amount of people greeting you with smiles and shaking your hand. Show more Show less

What is the priesthood?

Roni
The priesthood is the permission and authority from God to act in his name. This existed ever since the first prophets on the earth like Adam. The Church is led by God through this authority. This authority is crucial for the True church to be on the earth, just as The Ice Cream truck driver cannot give you a speeding ticket, neither can someone give you a blessing from God if they do not have the authority to do so. Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Roni
I don't Just believe it, I know it! That is a bold statement but it is one that I don't hesitate to say. If God loves all of his children, which we are! why would he stop sending us guidance when we clearly still need it today? Prophets are the way our Loving Heavenly Father helps lead us and guide us in the path that he knows is best for us. So not only do I know that there is a Prophet today President Thomas S. Monson I am very thankful that I have a guide to help me today. Show more Show less
