Hi I'm Kyle.

I'm a Texan. I'm a drummer and a video gamer. I'm a strawberry blonde. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the typical guy. I love video games, movies, cars. I also really enjoy spending time with friends and getting to make new friends. I'm somewhat talented at the piano and in percussion. I am also an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.

Why I am a Mormon

Like quite a few members of the Church, I was born into it. But like everyone else I have a conversion story. There came a time where I had to pray to God to know whether the things that I had grown up in were true. I received an answer that they are. In the words of the Prophet Joseph Smith, "I knew it, and I knew that God knew it, and I could not deny it." This really is the true church established by Jesus Christ and includes all the ordinances and authority that the primitive church contained. Plus, it leads to a great life style and eternal friendships and high moral standards.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by what I say, what I do, and what I think. I know that God and Jesus Christ are alive and that we will one day stand before them to be judged of our actions, as well as our thoughts and intentions, and I want to live the best life that I can according to the commandments that They have given. I offer to help wherever I see it could be used. I comfort those that are sad. I try to give advice to those who don't know where to go. I strive to love everyone I meet as Christ does.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Kyle.
There is only one figure who has that authority in the whole of creation and that is God. He chooses who will speak on His behalf to the entire world and He lifts him up to where he needs to be to do so. When it comes time for a new prophet to be chosen, the Twelve Apostles and the previous two members of the First Presidency meet and pray for the guidance of who God would have as His spokesperson. Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Kyle.
Like the Bible, the Book of Mormon was writen by ancient prophets called of God. God loves all His children and shares His word and doctrine with everyone. So while the New Testament was being written in Jerusalem, there were people in the ancient Americas who also received God's word through a prophet and kept those records. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Kyle.
Faith is a belief in something that you cannot see but know be true. I have a faith in Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Redeemer because God has told me it is true in answer to my prayers through the Spirit. So while I have never seen Christ or God for that matter, I know that they are there and that they want to help us. All good things come from God. I have faith in the blessings that Christ has promised in connection with keeping the commandments because I have seen blessings come before and God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Faith is a great gift to have and is a strength and a support in times of trouble. Show more Show less
