Hi I'm Katie

I live in Arizona, I love to read, eat sweets, teach, and wrestle with my two boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, and teacher. I teach at a faith-based private school that is held only three days a week, 4 hours each day. I enjoy teaching and the learning opportunities it provides. Let's be honest, teaching isn't easy! The best part about the job is that I am only away from my two boys for 12 hours a week, so I still get plenty of mothering opportunities. If anything, working outside the home only gives me a greater perspective as to how important my role as a mother really is. I love to travel with my husband and try new things all the time. It could be food, activities, new friends - you name it! I also love reading and playing games and can't wait until our two boys are old enough to join in the fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me constant happiness. Though life is not perfect, Heavenly Father's gospel is, and by following His commandments I have a sense of joy and peace in my life. I have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the same church that Jesus Christ established on the earth during his mortal ministry. I am a Mormon because I know that God has given us a Prophet to lead and guide us. I love this gospel because it teaches me to truly love everyone. I always have a chance to serve others who are in need.

How I live my faith

I am involved in the Activity Days organization in my church. Activity Days is for girls ages 8-11. We get together every other week and participate in fun activities while teaching the girls about Jesus Christ and living His commandments. It is always fun, and we enjoy it when the girls bring their friends to the activities.
