Hi I'm Rich

I'm a Mormon. I am a Californian. I work with business software in Northern California.

About Me

My greatest joy in life is my family. I am a father of six children ages 33 to 19. I owe so much about our family to my wondeful wife. In addition to my children, I enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of young people- being around them keeps me young. I played sports most of my life and now enjoy watching my children play sports. I guess you can say we are a basketbally family as my sons continue to play competitively. Everyone in the family wake boards and I have finally achieved jumping the wake without bodily injury. Beautiful northern California has been our home for over 30 years- I love the diversity, the cultures, the people, and variety of nature. Whether it is skiing in Tahoe, body surfing in the ocean, or feeling the reverence of the redwoods- California has it all. Because I am so blessed I try to be sensitive to community needs offering service and to help the disadvantaged. Northern California has the spirit of innovation- taking a small idea and making that into a useful service or product. That has been my career working with small start-up software companies for over 30 years.

Why I am a Mormon

Life is to be full and meaningful and it can only be so if we have a personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ. Knowing that I am a child of Heavenly Father gives me a perspective of my divine potential. I want to return to His home in the hereafter and know I can through the cleansing and refining power of the atonment of Jesus Christ. Because there are so many distractions from a personal relationship with God, I find my membership in the Mormon church a life line to peace, happiness and hope. Very early in my life I sought for my own personal witness of God and his Church. Through studying the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon, I gained an undeniable witness the He lives and has restored powerful truths that can help me achieve my divine potential. These truths are taught by modern-day prophets and apostles in the same way Christ's early Church thru the power of the Holy Ghost. It is in the Church that I was able to marry my wife for time and all eternity. Knowing that if I remain righteous I can have an eternal family. The Church teaches doctrines that help me have happiness thru the gospel of Jesus Christ. Also, the programs of the Church have strengthed my children and my marriage. It is a tremendous blessing to have the continuing revelation of a prophet to guide me as a father in perilous days.

How I live my faith

Personal integrity is a conrnerstone value in my life. If you do not live the values and principles you state you follow- what kind of a person are you? By no means am I perfect, but in my weaknesses and mistakes I know I can learn from them and turn to Jesus Christ for foregiveness. Jesus Christ is my model in how I live my life. I can turn to His mortal example for answers to my daily challenges, learning how I should treat my fellow-man. I spend time voluntering for service in the Church, instructing many in doctrine and faith. As I strve to help others, it helps me. I am able to witness how God's love is touching the lives of many people what a blessing to me. Each neighbor, colleague or friend is also a child of God and deserves the full knowledge and blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope each can know of the additive insight into the divine plan God has for each of them. God's love knows no boundary or religion. He wants all to return to Him and has through prophets prescribed a way for happiness in this life and in the hereafter. I invite my friends and others to listen to the words of a modern-day prophet, listen to the words of Christ as recorded in the Bible and Book of Mormon. Yes, come unto Christ and be sanctified by Him.
