Hi I'm Aaron

My left arm was paralyzed when I was born. I'm a drummer, entrepreneur, and sport the Minnesotan accent. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently married the girl of my dreams. I am currently a student seeking an undergraduate degree in business. I love entrepreneurship and brainstorming ways to change the world. I love to drum, and have played in several bands. I think that Macs are awesome, and have been a die-hard fan every since I was young. I love the mountains. I get excited when it starts to rain, and get even more excited when it starts to thunder. I lived in the Dominican Republic for a few years and consider many people there to be my own family. I love speaking Spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

My faith helps put my life into perspective, I wasn't born on the Earth to live a life already delegated to fate. I love knowing that God has given me agency to choose, the freedom decide for myself, and He has placed me on the Earth to learn, grow and make correct decisions. I am a Mormon because I know that God is an unchangeable being, that He has called prophets in these days just as He did in times of old, and He wants us to succeed. I love knowing where I came from, what I am doing here, and where I am going after I die. I love learning regularly how I can be a more charitable person and develop more love for those around me. I love what my faith is all about charity, love, improvement, hard-work, dedication, loyalty, purity, forgiveness, humility and following the footsteps of the Savior. I love knowing that I can be with my family in the next life. I love feeling watched over and protected, and sure that the Lord will bless me if I obey His commandments. I am a Mormon because I have seen this Gospel completely change the lives of individuals and families. I know the Book of Mormon is of God and goes hand in hand with the Bible.

How I live my faith

I recently returned home from serving a two year full-time mission in the Dominican Republic. I was a missionary, and spent everyday teaching individuals and families about Christ's church and His teachings. I visit a few families in my congregation every month and share with them teachings of the Gospel. I try to continually improve myself, and remember to always give thanks to God for the things that happen in my life.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Aaron
The Book of Mormon is a record, or history, of the ancient civilizations that lived upon the American continent. The Book of Mormon begins about 600 years B.C. and ends about 400 years A.D. It is the story of a family that was inspired to leave Jerusalem and go to a new land. The Book of Mormon is centered around Christ, His Gospel, and His love. After the Savior died, He came as a resurrected being and appeared to the civilization on the American continent. This helps strengthen my faith that God loves all of His children and not only a select few. When Joseph Smith was called as a prophet, God directed Him to the place where the ancient record was buried and guided him to translate it into English. The Book of Mormon is not a substitute to the Bible. We believe it is a companion to the Bible and that it only strengthens and clarifies many of the things we learn from the Bible. We teach and read from both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, together they both teach of Christ and His love for us.  Show more Show less
