Hi I'm Briton

I'm a Michigan native. I'm a full-time student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Briton. I'm currently a full-time student studying Business Strategy and minoring in Spanish. I'm a Michigan native-- I grew up outside of Detroit. I am the oldest of four children, I have a sister and two brothers. I love my family very much. I owe much to what I am today to good parents and a wonderful support system. Some hobbies I have include playing the piano and guitar, working on cars, spending time with my friends, watching movies, and meeting new people. I love to learn and try new things. I also love to talk politics with people. Glen Beck is my hero! I am in my Junior year of college. I look to start a career in the business field. I took two years off of my education to go and serve as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South America, in a tiny country called Uruguay. I learned to speak Spanish and have many wonderful memories of helping people make big changes in their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager, I had many friends ask me why I was different. I didn't smoke, drink, or do many of the things my friends would do on the weekends. I was different because I knew that God has a plan for me and for all His children. I grew up in a home with parents that taught me that I was a child of a loving Heavenly Father, and that I have an eternal worth. My parents knew that the world can be a dark and unhappy place, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the teachings brought to us by the Prophets of Old and the Prophets of today can help us to find happiness in our lives. During my years in High School, I had to really discover what was important to me. I had pondered the things that my parents taught me and what I had learned every Sunday for so many years. In the teachings of the Church, we learn that if we have doubts or questions, we can turn to God, and He can answer them. I did just that as a young man. I knelt before God, prayed in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, to know if the teachings of the Gospel were true. I felt a deep stirring in my soul that confirmed what I already knew... That God loves me and all His Children, and has provided means for them to return to Him someday. I know we have Prophets on the Earth today with authority to be the mouthpiece of the Lord. Joseph Smith did restore Christ's Church to the earth. As a missionary, I saw many people change their lives through the message of this Church. I hope that many more people will open their hearts to our message.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my actions. The Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us to live pure lives, to help others by serving them, to make a difference in our communities, and be examples for others. I love going to Church every Sunday and learning more about our Heavenly Father's perfect plan for each of His children. I am happy because of my faith.   I love to read the Book of Mormon. Inside that book there are answers to any of our deep questions and great stories of great men and women. It does testify of Christ and His Atoning sacrifice. I love to share that book with others.
