Hi I'm Stephanie

I am a mother, I am a runner, I am a teacher, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I live in the Seattle, Washington area. I am a wife and a stay at home mom of 4 children. I love being a mom, and I am grateful I can stay home with my children. I love spending time with my family. They are dear to me. Before I was a mom I was a school teacher. Being a teacher was something I always wanted to be. Before children I enjoyed teaching 6th grade for a few years, and now I continue to teach my children daily and also children at church. I am a runner, I run 5 days a week and participate in several races each year. Other interest I have are biking, baking, photography, music, and scrap booking.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been an active Mormon all my life. At a very early age I gained a deep love for my Savior and his teachings. Through his teachings I understood that he speaks through a living prophet. Being a Mormon has been the greatest blessing in my life. The gospel has shown me how to live so that I can return to my Heavenly Father some day, as well as be able to live with my family forever. Knowing how to live forever someday with the Lord and those that I love dearly here on earth is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying daily and studying from the scriptures. I strive to keep the commandments, and try to listen and follow the promptings of the spirit in my daily life. I attend church every Sunday and sometimes other times during the week. On Sundays I teach the 4 and 5 year olds. I teach them from the scriptures using stories, songs and activities that help them learn about choosing the right. I also work with the 9 and 10 year old girls. They come to my house twice a month for an activity. We learn skills like sewing, painting, cooking etc. They also participate in service activities, scholarship skills, and an occasional social activities. I love to serve and feel my Saviors love when I do.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely! Our name is called "The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints". We know that Jesus Christ is the son of God and he suffered and died for each of us. We study his life and follow his example as we try to become like him. He is at the head of the church.   Show more Show less

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Husband and wives both have the duty to love and care for their children. Fathers are to provide and Mothers more of the nurtures. Parents also have the responsibility to teach their children in righteousness. They need to provide for them spiritually as well as physically. They are equal partners that honor marital vows with complete fidelity. Show more Show less
