Hi I'm Jessica Rix

I am a wife, a mother, I love to make people smile, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time mother and wife and I love everything about it. Everyday is a new and exciting adventure. I have always wanted to be a wife and a mother since I was a little girl. In my spare time, I love going on walks and soak in the beautiful days that I am blessed with by living in California. My son William is my greatest joy of all. He brings such a sweet and loving spirit into our home each day. My husband and I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful baby boy.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints doesn't mean that I always knew it to be true. Growing up my family was very active in the church. We were there every Sunday and at most of the activities throughout the week. Through the years I was taught all the basics about what Mormons believe. In my heart I just felt that it was right and for a while I was very content with that feeling. It wasn't until I was about 17 or 18 years old when I had the desire to know for myself if what I had been taught all these years to be true. Through a lot of study and prayer, Heavenly Father blessed me with experiences and understanding to come to what I know now. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church here on the earth today. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that he died so that we can live again. He is my Savior and my friend. Knowing for myself now that all of this is true and dear to my heart, I could never live without the truth and the knowledge that I have about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I strive to live what I know to be true everyday. Not everyday is easy to do so, but then again, none of us are perfect. I was always told that it's the little things like the Sunday school answers such as going to church, reading my scriptures everyday and praying that make a big difference. And that is most defiantly true. I try to be the best example that I can be to my friends and family members inside and outside of the church. I used to be afraid to bring up the church to anyone but recently, that all changed. I found that the more I share the gospel and my beliefs with those around me, the easier it is to share it more often. I still have a bit of fear of sharing what I believe and know to be true, but each day I strive to overcome that fear because I know that the gospel truly does bring a fullness of joy and in order for those around me to have that joy, I need to be open and ready to share that joy with them. It's not always easy to do so, but it's amazing to see all the wonderful blessings that come from just sharing.
