Hi I'm Erin

I love the outdoors. I want to be a Doctor. I served a mission in British Columbia. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and love the outdoors. I come from a family that loves to fish, hunt, hike...you name it! One day I would like to be an OB/GYN...for now I am going to nursing school. I love to read. I'll read pretty much any book that I can. I served a mission in the Canada Vancouver Mission, the best mission on earth, and I love missionary work with all my heart!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this is the Lord's church on the earth today. This is where my Heavenly Father Wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I have been a girls camp counselor, a missionary, a teacher for the little kids, and been on a service committee. Each day I study the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon, I pray to know what Heavenly Father's will would be for me. I attend the temple regularly.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Erin
I don't believe, I know. Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet on the earth today. I've felt the Spirit bear witness of that as I have been in President Monson's presence. What a privilege it is to have a prophet on the earth today!  Show more Show less

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Erin
Baptism is essential for obtaining the kingdom of God. The Bible and the Book of Mormon frequently talk about the need for baptism. The scriptures say that no unclean thing can dwell with God and baptism is the necessary ordinance for us to be able to be clean. We also baptize new members because it takes the authority of God for baptism to be valid. Not that any baptism before didn't mean anything personal to the person, but the authority of God, or the Priesthood is necessary. "We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof" Articles of Faith 15 Show more Show less
